The Crew


		Tom McCracken has been farming organically and delivering produce to the front range since 1989. He understands the needs of the farmer and has recently worked as a produce broker. A delicate balance must exist in this business between the farmer, the supply system, the retailer, and the customer. In his 16 years in the business he has striven to establish a sense of trust and friendship with the customers and producers.

		Brian Freeman came to Colorado in 1991, working with Gemini Natural Food Market and Cafe. He then was on the management team for the opening of the Wild Oats Washington Park store, acting in many rolls of management for the next five years. During that time he also helped Green Earth Farm with farmers markets, increasing his knowledge of produce and retailing. His business expertise stands as a beneficial balance to the farmer's perspective. He is returning to the produce business he loves by becoming a founding member of Grower's Organic.

		Paul New of White Mountain Farm is the third founding member of our company. Paul has been growing Quinoa and Potatoes on his farm in Mosca, Co. since 1985. His organic potato processing facility is one of only two in the San Luis Valley. Processing for large accounts has given Paul the experience to handle the small ones. Now we will bring you SLV potatoes in a new Organic Valley label.

		Brian Wheeler came to Colorado in 1982, as a Action Adventure photographer on the Arkansas River. In his need to be down to earth, Brian came to Boulder and secured a job with Alfalfa’s as the produce manager in 1991. In 1996 Brian wanted more control over his produce and his high standard for Organic and went to the Crystal/Pearl St. market. Brian was recruited by Boulder Fruit Express and became Denver’s top Organic Produce buyer. BFX was bought by Albert’s where Brian stayed for 5 more years and decided the corporate life wasn’t for him.

		Our wonderful crew makes it all possible. Christa and Krista each come from different backgrounds that contribute to their passion of bringing quality, organic produce to our consumers. Their kind, caring nature ensures that you not only have the best produce possible but also a pleasant experience when you see them driving in our trucks and bagging vegetables at the farmer's markets.
