Weekly Highlights - Local Honeycrisps, Prune Plums, and More!

September 16, 2016

These honeycrisps have a brix level of 18, making them the sweetest on the market.

They were grown on Berg Harvest Orchard, which is a family fruit farm located in Paonia. It's named for Paul Berg, who built his homestead on the property in the 1940's.

The Prune Plums are first to market. They're a dark blue in color with a yellow-green interior. the pit is easily removed, and flesh is low in water content yet high in sugar. They come out of White Buffalo Farm in Paonia.

Also from White Buffalo, what may be the last of the Cresthaven Peaches. The JH Hales arrive tonight!

We can't believe Nectarines are still out there, but we just received some local cases from Kokopelli. They are SUPER sweet and ready to use.

These cool nights mean sweet corn is winding down. We received a new lot from Tuxedo yesterday, so get some while you can!
